"There is no pillow so soft as a clear conscience. ~French Proverb"
That holds true to most of us. I strongly believe that nothing makes life easier to live in than a clear conscience. I never reveled in such atrocious behavior nor have I been entangled in one. Neither deeds good or bad says much of a man, but rather the quality of his output that says a lot of his character.
The after-image brought about by his/her so-called deeds reflect much of their innards, be it soul or mind. Mayhaps the repercussions of one's actions dictates his ultimate future.
'Tis not the only way one's own conscience can be tainted with the pillows of regrets that leads to the sea of insanity.
Those methods by which man has lived on for centuries dealing with what ifs and whatnots. Few have solved the most problems and some reveled in them for far too long...
How can such things exist in one's own mind and never left, all but leaving a sense of loneliness whenever conscience cries out for resolution.
The only option of course is to leave those things be and move forward and beyond.
Through with our daily chores, settling all the wrongs and setting all to right.
A good solution perhaps, albeit a simple one at that.
Sometimes being a simpleton never hurts, in fact, your enemy(if such one exists in your life)
will never find out your moves if you be a simpleton, your enemy will always assume you're making a wrong move and decision in life. That's your enemy's mistake.

Hi Allen! Thanks for the visit.
I even feel bad for those who were affected by the Guadalupe Bliss fire. It was breaking my heart just watching from my bedroom window. To think it was the day before Christmas, I could just imagine the loss of those who owns a unit from the said building. I felt really bad for them.
Let us all take care!
