Life is sure is fucked up...if we make it so.
Mistakes either make us strong or leave us bedridden. Whatever the case maybe, its still a lesson learned in life that we have to cherish, for without it we never could have been the person we are right now.
Now, if we didn't learn anything from our past mistakes, then we're denying ourselves the benefits of life. We never get to enrich our personality, emotionality and other stuffs that make us whole. Like "Love", for example.
If we never did try to love at least once in our lifetime, then we could never ever will.
I do not believe that every person didn't experience love in one form or another.
It holds true to all that the first "Love" we had was with our parents. Now that is what I would call your first-hand in love. Regardless of who our parents are and have become, we still love them because they're our parents, without them, we could never have been born into this world.
Now, the second form of "Love" we may or will encounter/experience is having a girlfriend or a boyfriend, whichever the case maybe. Ika nga, different strokes for different folks. Like I said, failure in Love isn't like "The end of the world". Its just like, "Charge it to experience" so to speak. We, at one point or another will experience hardships and failures in life.
Failure in life, doesn't necessarily meant that we failed as human beings. The minute that thought(failure & despair) comes into mind, it only means that we can't handle such problems.
But, when you face it head on, chins-up, we make ourselves into something much more. Forgive me for babbling on about failures in life, but, it makes more sense if we set ourselves a goal/s, isn't it much more achievable? It doesn't hurt to make baby steps.
Never has our Lord given us that problem which cant be solved. He always gives us trials and tribulations everyday. No matter how small it is or otherwise, he always wants us to learn from it and be stronger.
When you set yourself a goal, you can't help but to think, is this reachable, there comes the baby steps i mentioned earlier. When we set mini-goals, we encourage ourselves to take on that challenge in life.
You got to have this checklist handy, check-off the goals youve accomplished. Accomplish the ones you haven't, then you'll truly say to yourself its really achievable.
Now, some of us had parents advising us at an early age, do this do that, I believe some of us never listened. Some of us did. For those who didn't listen will find out later in life and say to themselves, "Yeah, dad was right" or "Uh huh, that was what my parents were trying to tell me years ago". Those comments are filled with regrets in between letters.
I didn't say either that I did the right things though, all I'm saying is we've got to keep learning from every mistake we make.
We do make mistakes on a daily basis, but that can be prevented again from happening if we learn from it. That my friend is how we must live.
Again, I'm not a perfect person who hasn't had any mistakes happen in every aspect of my life, but I'm a person who can admit to my own mistakes and learn from it.
If truths in life were known, then people wouldn't make mistakes anymore. People wouldn't learn so much from trial and errors. Right from wrong, Good from evil, so on and so forth.
If people could predict, like what Nicolas Cage does from the movie "Next" then that would be awesome. But no, we don't have that power. What we have is pure intuition.
The kind that lets us decide what to do next in our lives.
That said, I hope you picked up something worthwile in my little? littany.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. Smile, dont forget to smile a lot...
...we'll never know if it puts a little smile in somebody's day and make them happy in return.
