Althea's and Yanni's Longest Bday

Wow, its a sunday and I've never seen or experienced a bday for children at Jollibee! of all theplaces to hold the longest bday package ever!. The kids were sooo entranced with Jollibee stepping in the limelight with Hetty in the supporting role. Althea and Yanni, whom I was told, was so enamored with Jollibee(courtesy of those quirky party videos on Youtube that she and her sister saw) that she had to experience a Jollibee bday party she and her sister had to have it firsthand. Had an awesome time with my former college friends and orgmates from Letran Youth for Christ. Awesome time dudes and dudettes!

See you on Thursday!!

Hiatus..

Hi everybody or whoever is reading my blog. I'm currently swamped with work as you can see right now is the only time that I wrote since the last time I logged into my blog. Well I'm curently juggling a pro-bono project for a charity foundation which I can't say right now but I'm proud to say that I have all creative rights to the work. From the name of the event down to the collaterals(i.e. posters, banners, tickets and other stuffs that's pretty much essential to the whole shebang. I hop I can make the tickets in time as the event is slated on March. With work swamping me up to the brim, hope I can make it in time to make the tickets as this is the most essential for promotions. Wish me luck people ^_^

Ever get the feeling?...

Hey folks,
Ever get the feeling that somehow, someway, somewhere, some people are playing tricks on you? I mean sometimes you get the feeling that you're not paranoid? You know in your heart that "they" are conspiring towards you? The "conspiracy theory at work".

My god, Im sounding a little bit paranoid, am i? hahahah. Just pulling your legs this time. Ha!
You thought that this was a real post, shame on you!!! hahahhaha.

Black Swan

Wow!!!!, was all I could say, albeit "disturbing" to say the least. Natalie Portman did a tremendously outrageous job in her role as the Black Swan. Truly deserving of an award.

I don't care what others said...but hey! you cant please everybody :-)

Natalie Portman rocks!!
You can view here her award acceptance speech at the Golden Globe Awards.

Un zâmbet de mult

Un zâmbet de mult(Romanian)...in english, it means "Smile a lot".

Thats the most taken for granted, most simplest thing you can do to start your day. One day you'll never know when it'll suddenly cheer someone else's life and brighten up their day.

Learn the art of smiling, it also helps your facial muscles to relax a bit. Let your muscles get excited a bit by letting your smile flow, let your teeth show a bit but not too much or it'll make you look like your sneering. or else you'll just look like you're imitating a dog's smile.

The more you make yourself smile, it'll feel more natural, the next time you make one. ^_^.

My Sketches...

I recently joined an artist's group called ArtVentures.

They're a host of fun and funny people to be with, very encouraging and at the same time, "fatherly" hahaha. No pun intended there.

Anyways, I'd like to share with you some sketches, good or bad ones at that. Here's one below.

Here's another one,

So is this one,

Another one,

Whew! more to come. I still haven't scanned some other drawings I have. But, I'll do so in the coming weeks while I'm juggling on the comic-book art poem that I'm working on.

Ciao for now!

Isn't it nice...2

Hi guys,
In continuation to my previous post, I just thought of other recreational things to do for relaxation. I find this next one a very therapeutic way of getting yourself clear of stress. Now, this is in contrary to taking Stress tabs.

Why not take up a class on Arts & Crafts or something, or just go "Malling".

"Malling!?" you ask?, why not?, for some its some form of relaxation. Although, you might say, "Yeah! yeah! it's tiriing!!!". I would respond to that by saying, "My God!! Go get some sunshine people!!" Go out and get something to make those rusty bones of yours working.
"Work it!!!!!!" If you ain't into buying things and wouldn't want to overcharge that credit card of yours, then by all means, do window shopping, why not? eat out!! eat healthy, or simply do your stuff by playing a very interactive game like, "Dance Revo-ish" game or any other workout-intensive activity/game.

As the buff men from 300 would say, "Hoohaah!!!".

Go get yourself something nice to do.

Okay, okay, you say that you're not into going out and stuff and maybe you could do some indoor thingy?

Well here's the stuff, there are lots of things you can do indoors, if you have lots of stuff to do at home, like what i mentioned in my previous post(look it up). Then, do it :-)

I mean, different folks, different strokes, right?

But, please!!! go out!! have fun!!! even let the sun shine where it doesn't. Hahahaha, Make sure there's no one else around, especially pervs(perverts). Make very outdoor activity worth wile either by appreciating everything around. With our borrowed lives, we must ensure to make sure, to make the best out of it.

Also, dont forget! Smile, Smile, Smile!!!!

Isn't it nice...

Hey folks,
Isn't it nice, to once in a while, sit back, relax and enjoy what relaxation offers?
Contemplate. hmnnn....

Rest your back easily on an easy chair, rocking chair, or whatever furniture offers you a relaxed pose. Go grab a book or watch a movie-thon, or just browse the web. Play your favorite Facebook Game. Go grab your Game Consoles or Handheld games and challenge every game enemy and go zonkers over every level you surpass.

Better yet, do your favorite hobby(in my case, painting), yours will vary on what you'd really want to craft(i.e. your guitar skills?, piano, trombone or whatnots). Whichever you want can depend on what you want to accomplish. As long as it provides the thing you need most where you feel most relaxed.

Or if you're into a more mystical approach, i encourage yoga or meditation.

There are others who'd rather go out and face nature head-on, i mean the great outdoors, hiking in Sagada or trekking in Batangas, swimming in Coron, Palawan, mountain climbing in Devil's Peak.

Whatever's your cup of tea or otherwise, its up to you, pursue and enjoy!!! I know I did because I followed mine. ^_^

There is no pillow so soft...

"There is no pillow so soft as a clear conscience. ~French Proverb"

That holds true to most of us. I strongly believe that nothing makes life easier to live in than a clear conscience. I never reveled in such atrocious behavior nor have I been entangled in one. Neither deeds good or bad says much of a man, but rather the quality of his output that says a lot of his character.

The after-image brought about by his/her so-called deeds reflect much of their innards, be it soul or mind. Mayhaps the repercussions of one's actions dictates his ultimate future.

'Tis not the only way one's own conscience can be tainted with the pillows of regrets that leads to the sea of insanity.

Those methods by which man has lived on for centuries dealing with what ifs and whatnots. Few have solved the most problems and some reveled in them for far too long...

How can such things exist in one's own mind and never left, all but leaving a sense of loneliness whenever conscience cries out for resolution.

The only option of course is to leave those things be and move forward and beyond.

Through with our daily chores, settling all the wrongs and setting all to right.
A good solution perhaps, albeit a simple one at that.

Sometimes being a simpleton never hurts, in fact, your enemy(if such one exists in your life)
will never find out your moves if you be a simpleton, your enemy will always assume you're making a wrong move and decision in life. That's your enemy's mistake.

Off to another country...

I'm planning on going to my cousins place at Seattle Wasington, though it may seem an easy feat to do for some, it would take lotsa effort on my part as I would have to secure myself a US Visa just to visit my cute little nephews there. ^_^

I'm really excited as to this idea I've been carrying since my cousin went abroad. I really wanted to visit another country on my own, not relying on comapny trips and such. Although this would be a long-term commitment on my part, it would seem not too impossible.

I've always wanted the visit the U.S. To visit my cute little nephews who greatly resembles my cousin "kuya(alot older than I am)" Axel hahahahaha.

Thats it for now.

Life is sure is fucked up...

Life is sure is fucked up...if we make it so.

Mistakes either make us strong or leave us bedridden. Whatever the case maybe, its still a lesson learned in life that we have to cherish, for without it we never could have been the person we are right now.

Now, if we didn't learn anything from our past mistakes, then we're denying ourselves the benefits of life. We never get to enrich our personality, emotionality and other stuffs that make us whole. Like "Love", for example.

If we never did try to love at least once in our lifetime, then we could never ever will.
I do not believe that every person didn't experience love in one form or another.

It holds true to all that the first "Love" we had was with our parents. Now that is what I would call your first-hand in love. Regardless of who our parents are and have become, we still love them because they're our parents, without them, we could never have been born into this world.

Now, the second form of "Love" we may or will encounter/experience is having a girlfriend or a boyfriend, whichever the case maybe. Ika nga, different strokes for different folks. Like I said, failure in Love isn't like "The end of the world". Its just like, "Charge it to experience" so to speak. We, at one point or another will experience hardships and failures in life.

Failure in life, doesn't necessarily meant that we failed as human beings. The minute that thought(failure & despair) comes into mind, it only means that we can't handle such problems.
But, when you face it head on, chins-up, we make ourselves into something much more. Forgive me for babbling on about failures in life, but, it makes more sense if we set ourselves a goal/s, isn't it much more achievable? It doesn't hurt to make baby steps.

Never has our Lord given us that problem which cant be solved. He always gives us trials and tribulations everyday. No matter how small it is or otherwise, he always wants us to learn from it and be stronger.

When you set yourself a goal, you can't help but to think, is this reachable, there comes the baby steps i mentioned earlier. When we set mini-goals, we encourage ourselves to take on that challenge in life.

You got to have this checklist handy, check-off the goals youve accomplished. Accomplish the ones you haven't, then you'll truly say to yourself its really achievable.

Now, some of us had parents advising us at an early age, do this do that, I believe some of us never listened. Some of us did. For those who didn't listen will find out later in life and say to themselves, "Yeah, dad was right" or "Uh huh, that was what my parents were trying to tell me years ago". Those comments are filled with regrets in between letters.

I didn't say either that I did the right things though, all I'm saying is we've got to keep learning from every mistake we make.

We do make mistakes on a daily basis, but that can be prevented again from happening if we learn from it. That my friend is how we must live.

Again, I'm not a perfect person who hasn't had any mistakes happen in every aspect of my life, but I'm a person who can admit to my own mistakes and learn from it.

If truths in life were known, then people wouldn't make mistakes anymore. People wouldn't learn so much from trial and errors. Right from wrong, Good from evil, so on and so forth.

If people could predict, like what Nicolas Cage does from the movie "Next" then that would be awesome. But no, we don't have that power. What we have is pure intuition.

The kind that lets us decide what to do next in our lives.

That said, I hope you picked up something worthwile in my little? littany.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. Smile, dont forget to smile a lot...
...we'll never know if it puts a little smile in somebody's day and make them happy in return.

Work week 2011

Its been 3 days since work week started and I can still handle the workload. Although my mind still hasn't synced in yet. hahah! Diesel yata.

Anyways, I'm soo excited about this prtoject I'm doing. It'll make update my rusted skills in Illustration. A refresher-course for me.

Ha! that'll be a challenge!.

With my current anatomy in check, I'll still have to deal with foreshortening though.

If I continue on with what I know, brushing up on the forgotten skills will be a cinch.

I'll be posting my work in progress here and in Facebook.

I'm currently working on a short comics based on the poem "Let Go" on which I am still working out the panels and art-style. I wonder what approach I'll be doing regarding Art-Style, hmnnnn....

Ciao for now dudes!
May the force be with you all!

Let go...

Here's a little something for my dear friend, Shawie. She asked me if I can make a poem for her and here is the finished product. Hope you like it.

Let go...

She is hanging on a cliff,
my hand clenching hers.

All I remember was:
My hand was slowly slipping from hers,

I didn't know how and
I didn't know why.
but it happened.

As she stared into my eyes,
her hand slowly letting go of mine,
I kept on reaching for her other hand
but to no avail

I didn't know how and
I didn't know why.
but it happened.

It wasn't what I wanted,
It wasn't what I yearned,
It wasn't what I planned...
to let go.

She still stared into my eyes
and as she finally slips from my
now loose grasp.

She falls, along with my tears
I wasn't aware that along with my struggle
that I was harboring tears all along.

Slowly, slowly into the endless abyss.
Zooming out from my view.

Her hair and dress, flinging violently
as she descended alongside
the rough edges.

Eventhough she was zooming out from my view,
I can still feel her eyes saying,

Let go, let go, please.

Begging for me to let go.
I didn't want to...
and yet she forced herself to let go.

I could have saved her,
if I didn't let go...but I did

I did...
...kill for the very first time...

Now, her name still resonates in my mind...
Those eyes, those eyes that talked to me
Let go...please.

I've forgotten how it is to live
as she keeps resurfacing...
like a cancer that slowly grows,
haunting me till the very end.

She knows I killed her,
She knows I still live.

Perhaps I too shall jump off the cliff...
I too shall...
...let go...
...of my life.

This will be the sequel, the narrative part of the whole story of Let Go...
The prequel will be a comic-style illustrative story with no words just visuals.

I also have indeed found a long-lost poem I wrote 8 years ago when it was still 2002,

here's the link.

I hope you enjoy, So just keep checking me back here as I will update my blog within the week.
